Repose and Awakening

An Unexpected Dream Journey

Repose takes over,

Unexpected, unplanned,

A hazy state,

Mind and body caught off-hand.

Hours pass,

In the blink of an eye,

A world of dreams and visions,

Fantasies pass,

I sink in the sky,

An ocean of scenes distorted in fission.

When I wake up, the grog lingers,

Thoughts and speech all slurred,

I'm in a state, withdrawn.

Slowly, the fog clears,

My senses return askew,

The world comes barely into focus,

Enough to see, I can pursue.

The memory of trance,

It stays within my soul,

A peaceful moment of rest,

I nearly feel whole.

Perhaps I would if I knew what day it was.
