Repetitiousness of Powers

Once, there was a time when all things shined

A time of wonder and delight

A time so bright, like majestic diamonds that were mined

A world that was really quite a delight

---

Such things did not start just from birth

They were always that way

For everybody appreciated true values and worth

And each new sun felt like a blessed day

---

It was a time before all things were learned

A time of innocence still a part of us, each lesser being

But the outcome would be something which sadly we earned

It was brought upon us by those we trusted, the least seeing

---

From on top of their ivory laden towers

Each more mischevious than the last

They ruled with their immense and ill gotten powers

Leaving us with only fond memories of the past

---

Not so much was it because of our world being messed

But more because of their lack of true focus

And a world they'd create, where more souls are depressed

Because of the rulers hidden hocus pocus

---

Words they use kept us confused and unhinged

And social media was born to aid their foul deeds

Now every day, people have looked and have cringed

Evil ones constantly there, planting the seeds

---

For them, the world is not enough

They crave global power and glory

Amassing it leaves the rest with lives which are fough

And leaders who care not about our story

---

It's the riches that they'll plunder

From beneath our very noses they'll take

Leaving stomachs growling and sick as we wonder

While the disgusting in control dine on steak

---

Until an idea so unyielding comes once during this time

As some said fix only your world, dear friends

And leave others to spend their own dime

But alas, it appears, that the cycles have no ends

---

Gone are the old and simpler days

As those truly awakened sours

Tired of it being us that pays

Because of the repetitiousness of powers
