Reminiscent

Aarty

By Aaiyanna JohnsonPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Remember that night in February?

So, cold not a soul in sight, wary

Remember the gathering, turned party

Thought it’d be nice to get away, hearty

Alone

Remember forced lips, tight grips

Remember the shaky breaths and silent screams

No one to help force illicit dreams

Loud music, raw body

Warped mind, sour psyche

Alone

Remember my face

Horror, a mark forever left on one’s countenance

Remember the harsh words sworn

Hateful, meant to abhor…me

Remember my innocence

Ripped away, along with it your absence

I remember, I remember it all, Aarty.
