Remembrance

A Poem

It feels as if when you die you are not really gone.

You are still there to watch us grow, grieve, and procreate.

To see us live our lives like before you left.

Truthfully, it's not that easy.

We think of you every minute of every day hoping that you'll come back and stop our never ending guilt that never fails to show when we seem to be at our happiest.

Sleeping in your clothes, hoping the scent of you still remains on them.

Finding ourselves waking up in tears from a dream of you.

You see, we never really let go.

We hold on to those we love, and that's how you know it was real.
