Remembering You
Mother I have some things to share with you
Memories of your glowing face
leaped into my dreams.
Your rounded cheeks,
your sweet rosy skin,
freckled nose,
and bushy brown hair
embraced me
with love and grace.
I miss seeing you.
I miss our chats and our cups of tea.
Our talks about life
mended my soul.
You've missed out on so much.
Your grandson married
and gave me two grandsons
of my own.
I wish you were here
to see how life has moved on.
My little brother, your son,
lost touch.
We no longer speak.
I wish you could mend the bond.
If you can see or hear,
whisper your magic into his ear.
Endear him to me.
Your other grandson
needs strength.
Send your light towards him.
Show yourself to him.
Leave a memory upon him
so that he'll remember
your grace.
You have missed out
on reading my published
books. If only I could pass them
up to you. You'd love
The Island of Love
a Cypriot romance that you'll
love or a thrilling series
you'd read, called
Time to Run.
The Biters the first book
and now,
a second called
Life on the Run.
I hope heaven will grant
you a book.
Today, I visited a church.
I lit a candle for you.
I prayed that I would
see your wise spirit again.
