Remembering October

The Memories are Moving Fast but The Feelings are Treading Slowly...

By HandsomelouiiThePoet (Lonzo ward)Published about 14 hours ago • 1 min read

It Was a Blur
When I Opened My Eyes...
My Head Was Aching, but Memories Surfaced Rapidly...

Pumpkin Seeds and
Tootsie Roll Candies...
Burned Hay and Rice Krispie Treats...

What Happened in October?

We've Been There Before,

My Dad Likes The Festival They Have Every Year Just For Halloween.
It was Something about the Weather That Evening, I Remember Dad Saying It Was Hot Enough to Walk about the Street in a G- String...

The Last Time We Went for a Visit, Somehow Changed Me...

I Remember The Air Filled with the Smell of Regret and Excitement
Loud Cheers carried by Booze and Mary Jane...

I Don't Remember Leaving -

Although Oddly, I Slept for 3 days
Dauntless, I lay inside of Tangible Dreams...

I Felt the Kiss of Lips that Seemed Familiar
His Hands Were Rough But He Touched Me Tenderly...

His Eyes were Deep Red, but He Was Charming.

Underneath The Twilight Moon, We Escaped Through a Valley Surrounded by Tree's, but
 The Way The Memory Plays,
I Think He Rescued Me...
But, From What?? Who is He?? Maybe, I Met Him That Night...
Besides, I Had Just Turned 21, and We're Only a Town Over...

Oh, It's Harder to Remember as I'm Older, but it was Something Peculiar about October.
