They say silence is empty.

But have you ever stood in the quiet of a field of white marble?

Have you felt the weight of the air,

heavy with the ghost of a promise kept?

We walk through the day with coffee in our hands,

chasing deadlines, scrolling through noise,

forgetting that the ground beneath our feet

is paved with the echoes of “I’ll go.”

"I’ll go."

Two words that shifted the axis of the world.

Two words that meant leaving the kitchen table,

the porch light, the soft laughter of a Sunday morning,

to step into the mouth of the storm.

They didn't go because they loved fighting.

They went because they loved the living—

they loved the idea of a porch light,

they loved the idea of a kitchen table where someone else could sit in peace,

unbothered,

Unafraid.
