Remember
A poem by Marie Cadette
Remember!
When the mind fears the heart
Our obvious lies torture the smile
If outside is pure darkness
Our Inner light’s then shadow
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The more we crave outer peace
The more we swallow sorrowful noise
When one has no enemy
The nerves are in animosity
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
If one can’t rejoice being alone
Loneliness is what they own
Nobody can abide in their best friend’s brain
The monster is inside, live with it or it will wipe you away
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Remember! [Anyway]
The heart plays the mind’s game
We chase love and remember hatred
When we can’t relate to joyful hearts
We buy sadness instead
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
When one can bare hatred
Abandonment is the reward
We love and abhor same souls
Oblivious or tortuous…life is a demons’ marathon
