Remember Me No More

#VocalNPM

Too much.

Too much bad.

Too much wrong.

Too much I can't—

and too much I'm not good enough

and too much I'm failing.

Why not just give up?

Why not just let go?

Why don't I just go?

Go hike up into the mountains

all alone,

with nothing but the clothes on my back.

Just lay in the sun and the snow and let it melt around me,

drown me,

and then freeze over me in the night;

so I can wake up,

frozen.

Unable to move—

To hurt people.

To ruin things.

To feel.

Numb and frozen,

just staring up at the sun;

until it's warmth consumes me—

and I am remembered no more.
