Relic

On letting go without self-destruction

By Luis CabetePublished 9 months ago 1 min read
We don’t suffer because we can’t let go — we suffer because we keep worshipping what no longer lives.

Relic

Go to your temple and dive inside

You must find the relic long lost

Lost and glorified for so long

It is now crystal, vitreous divine

Surrender now without exasperation

What is no more, can never be alter

Melt a lighted candle on your altar

But don’t let it kill you by immolation
