Relentless summer reaches scorch height.
The everlasting glare
Etches sun nicks, sucking greenness.
Smoke eventual, lines scarring ground.
Dirt's shown.
Nude Earth Hephaistos strips.
Still locals stay, yet the encroachment terrifies.
Surly yellow waves stealth-like eat terrain,
Neighbours stare, eyes smart.
Tears stain, now water resistance
Ever remains superfluous.
Shed, dwelling, garages smoke,
Emitting grey, yellow wheezes.
Soon, no outside erections, shelter remains.
Smoulder remnants sparked, disintegrating, glowing.
Gone, erased.
Dreaded destroyer.
