Circumvent

So it is, as you say,

A world we all live in.

A place where life and death coincide,

But I’m not picking sides.

Open your heart

To see the scent

Of sounds that

Taste so soft.

Can you, do you, will you

Ever know?

This thought that echoes out loud

Will never be heard.

Around the planet of discontent

Will you always circumvent?

Give me an answer

Or forever hold your breath.

So rancid and sweet,

Deathly alive yet silently loud

That breath you breathe

Will be your last.

It is with this thought that

One does a deed.

A deed indeed that we all

Feel the need.

To put out into the world

Is to never retrieve,

Forever revealed

Never again to be held.
