Relapse

The Last Step Before Freedom

Cuts that have no time to heal

leave scars—

reminders of the original pain.

Sickness fills the body,

searching for anything

to relieve the soul

from its constant ache.

We look for new ways

to calm the weight of the past,

but progress only comes

when it is consistent.

Justifying the damage

only keeps it alive,

anchoring the spirit down.

Unchain the feeling of old news—

make space for freedom,

for every deep desire

you’ve kept locked away.

Don’t kneel;

common ground is useless

when darkness arrives.

Continue forward

with forgiveness and pure thought—

because aiding the damage

is only another excuse

to stay unhappy.
