Reincarnate

"

I am a phoenix, perched by the flames.

Scorching my feathers,

watching embers, as they float away.

By the sand, rinsed by the seas

My knees are taken in.

While my brown curls twine, flip, and spin.

Legs and toes curled beneath, my body

Swaying, in the salty crisp breeze.

Giving praise to those who came before me,

lengthy arms move about,

like waves and wings.

My fingertips, take turns skipping

On the curved edges,

of the moon.

My backs’ spine, fully arched

as an uncaged bird, diving in.

I am one with each and every element.

I fall and I rise, like the Sun and the moon.
