Regrets

I should have....

By Tamsin smithPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

I should have phoned more, I should have written more, I should have emailed more, I should have visited more

A thousand regrets, a painful reminder I'll never forget, memories that were never made, those I have I hold dear to ensure they will never fade

Being there for someone should never feel like a chore, not doing my best cuts to the core, our lives consumed and so you will have to wait, why is it unimportant until it's too late

You had your best friend by your side, his love for you he did not hide, making sure you were not alone, through the pain and tears he may not of shown

We say goodbye with a heart full of sorrow, wishing you had another tomorrow, although a full life you did lead, ours with mourning must proceed

In loving memory of Anne
