US auto plants were being closed
Peace agreements had to be composed.
In the "Battle of the Sexes," Billie Jean King wins.
Then, there was the zany season for the Minnesota Twins.
Congress passed a bill for opening the way for a pipeline.
From the North Slope to Valdez, it never crosses a state line.
A cold September, but there wasn't any snow.
"American Graffiti" was playing at the picture show.
While Watergate was in the news,
living in Mississippi, they were singing the blues.
