REFER TO THE DRAFT

Like paint, you'll never see mistakes until they are made

By Michael ButorovichPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

To win is what you and I want

But that means nothing.

As far as I am concerned, we make

The best moves to the best of our

Skills and see what happens.

{

There are times when things are

Overlooked, things are neglected,

Things are spat back in our face,

Things turn out to be perfect

When perfection was never planned.

{

Sometimes we can’t see what’s right before

Our eyes.

Like paint, you’ll never see mistakes until

They are made.

That’s where the touch-ups are made to dry.

{

We’ll have to hand-write

While there is still a

Chance

{

Go for the win until we’ve reached the

Ultimate loss.

Correct the fuck ups and wait to answer

Those who can find the blemishes

}

**For context, after the 15th line I crumbled the paper and threw it away in a drunken fit. Though soon after I salvaged it first with writing by hand then finishing with the typewriter. The title is a reference to that visual symbolizing dedication and persistence**
