Red. My hair.
Rude. People stare.
Beautiful, so lucky- this colour is so rare.
Dye it, you will blend in- feel comfortable in your skin.
I won't do that! Let the nasty bullies win.
Ranga, Blood-nut, Carrot top, Ginger.
Do the curtains match the carpet?
Curiosity of perverts.
Gingers have no souls.
Its funny right?
Its ok because you are white.
Red heads have bad tempers.
Honestly though, should these things be said?
In a world that is learning what is politically correct?
Perhaps, whilst we are evolving into a society of acceptance,
Red-heads could finally stop smiling at bigotry.
We do have souls. We are not Orangutans. We are not going extinct.
It's ok to be different. Its ok to be unique. People don't need to point it out in the street.
Next time you decide to make a remark,
Think first, is it necessary to sound like a jerk?
I don't care about what you think you know, about red hair and tempers and nick-names and folklore.
I've heard it all before, it isn't amusing or interesting.
It's simple, its boring, and its down-right discriminatory.
