RED
A poem inspired by Little Red Riding Hood
The wind whipped violently that morning.
The sky a blustery black - forewarning.
Red left home with cakes and wine,
Hoping to get to grandmother's on time.
She started along the well worn path -
Not expecting to meet with ~Bad-Wolf's-Wrath~
Keeping her eyes ahead and temptation at bay,
She noticed a flower which led her astray...
~~~
Time was lost within the wood...
Then Red ran to grandmother's - like she should.
Surprise and worried she became,
When noticing the door off it's frame.
She ran inside and up the stairs,
The Wolf was waiting; Red unaware.
She pulled back the curtain
"Grandmother?.." Red asked uncertain.
Growl - Growl - Grin
Bad Wolf smiled in SIN.
Red backed up in fright -
But the Wolf... he gripped her tight.
Beware, beware on darkest days,
When wanting to go in the woods and play.
The Wolf may be hiding around the bend;
To take you away to his dark, wolf, den.
