Beauty in Darkness

Red & Black

A passionate kiss upon red lips

A rose upon a windowsill

Black ringlets down her pale spine

Dark eyes shimmering in the moon light

The red of a ripe fruit, juices running down the neck

Depths of a raging war just before the cries of victory

Flying a flag in a strong wind

Dark barriers against the wheat skin

Petals falling before the winter

Icy lake at peak of night

They call to me

And sing of blood

Of hatred

Of stories untold

Beginnings and endings

A lover’s first note to a lover’s last quarrels

Sighs into the bosom in secret at night

Anger of the righteous foe

And so it goes

And so it goes…
