Recognition and the Right Thing

By Derek Dyer

By Derek DyerPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

A virtuous act does not go unnoticed. Just not praised.

There is no need, if you do something out of the kindness in your heart, you do not seek affirmation for the deed. You do it because it is right and just. Though you are usually humbled right away.

The universe, as well, cares not for a pure heart. That's why everyone is obsessed with love. Having people close to you that will praise you for what little things you do or accomplish.

It is a frightening world that craves praise from another just to do a mundane task.

I pity the fool who requires such sustenance in their unworthy lives.

That said, I pity myself and everyone I love, for that is the foolish world we live in.
