In some relationships, you eventually have to be willing to let the other person lose you.

It's not out of spite, nor is it about forcing him back; it's because you finally understand that staying with someone who doesn't cherish you will only make you more and more subservient. You try so hard to maintain the relationship, but he takes your efforts for granted; you keep waiting, but he never truly steps toward you.

Since he feels there are others more suitable for him, let him go find them. Stop questioning why you aren't good enough, and stop desperately trying to prove you deserve love. You can't keep someone who wants to leave. When someone's heart isn't with you, forcing them to stay will only hurt you repeatedly.

Letting him lose you isn't revenge; it's giving each other back the freedom to choose. He can go find the person he wants, and you no longer have to cling to a relationship with no reciprocation. This is called letting go, and it is called cutting your losses.

Leaving the wrong person is not a loss. You only lose someone who made you anxious and insecure, but in return, you regain peaceful nights, the freedom from waiting for messages, and the opportunity to put yourself back in your own heart.

You will feel sad, you will feel reluctant to let go, and you might even remember his good qualities on certain nights. But don't let a moment of weakness lead you back to the place that made you shed countless tears. Memories only replay the sweet parts, while wounds remember the complete story.

Relationships that need to be severed should be cut cleanly. One-sided affection shouldn't be sustained, endless waiting shouldn't be wasted, and an entanglement that has lost its dignity must end. You don't need someone else's choice to prove your worth.

After leaving, pour your energy back into yourself. Work hard, take care of your health, organize your life, and do the things you repeatedly postponed because of him. You will slowly discover that without him, the sky hasn't fallen—in fact, life is brightening little by little.

True self-love isn't just saying you've let go; it's knowing that even if you're still hurting, you won't turn back for someone uncertain. Preserve your dignity, uphold your principles, and remember that every step you take forward is a step toward finding yourself again.

Someone leaving you isn't necessarily your loss. Only when you let go can you make room for the blessings meant for you.

One day, you will thank the version of yourself who had the resolve to leave. It wasn't because you stopped loving, but because you finally realized that no matter who you love, you can never lose yourself in the process.
