Stella in a five hundred ml can

Carling in a glass

experimental Chinese hallucinogens

you have to stick up your arse

cheap Tawny hidden in sight in a paper bag

schedule eight pills from the medicine chest

Mothers little helpers indeed

cause sometimes Mum knows best

government issued Dexedrine

coffee hot and strong

a chilled out zooming is looming

to the beat of a favourite song

a little weed to take the edge off

then some more to ride the high

an oxy or two to enhance the blue

and then maybe another to fly

a coupla prescription sleeping pills

to chase away any remains of today

sleep itself may or may not come

that’s just a part of the game that i play

i thank every single lucky star there is

that i never got on the crack...

the alarming amount of fentanyl about

is the only thing keeping me off the smack

things to sniff or eat or drink

things to smoke chew or pop

of course i know it’s bad for me

but i don’t want to stop

i'm drugged up enough to keep myself silly

a reckless hobby that i chose to choose

i don’t have a substance abuse problem

not while there are substances to abuse
