Reasons to be Angry - Part 1

If you're not angry about something - what planet are you even on?

Reasons to be Angry - Part 1

There are so many real things to be scared of, hateful towards and be angry about

Why do so many choose the most base things to be scared of, hateful towards and angry about?

Like colour, body type, hair colour, sports teams, nationality, creed, beliefs that don't match our own, gender, sexual orientation, dietary choices - so much ridiculousness

It is a smokescreen to the real issues of the world. the news that's happening when the less important news is taking prominence on mainstream and social media...X marks the spot, put that filter on and smile your happy smile as the world goes to pot

The greedy deception in every government, pick your favourite, suffer at the hands of your least, decisions made on your behalf, by people unaffected by those decisions

the desolation of the planet - is ice melting really a huge worry? Look at that animal struggle to find shelter, isn't it funny? it's not you, your child or even your pet, so why worry?

the devestation of the natural world, because the rainforests are too big really, they need to be cut down to size, just so they know who's the boss around here. Choke the trees, litter the seas

the destruction of the family, if blood is thicker than water, why do so many spill it without a care, whether father or mother, brother or sister, son or daughter

the desecration of humanity, because it's only fair that food is only made available to those who can afford it, no toilet paper, clean water and sanitary products for you poor people, and obviously human traffickers help with controlling the population. Isn't that obvious to everyone? Don't think about it and crack open that Prime Meta Moon (other flavours are available)

the displacement of actual people, real people. The latest trending invasion, the latest trending immigration problem. the latest natural disaster, boats in the Channel, sneaking into the coasts and borders

I may not have the solutions, I may be just shouting into the dark, but we all know one thing - so much is just not working.

100% so much to be angry about! I can't think about it too much tbh 😅

  • This broke my heart so much especially the animals trying to find shelter 🥺 I have given up on humans to be honest.

All fair points. My list might be a little longer, but you've nailed the most important points.

You hit the nail right on the head: smokescreen.

I hate how true this is but I'm glad that it was written about.

Heartbreakingly true! You've expressed this so incredibly well, Paul, and as sad as it is, I'm looking forward to part 2 ... not sure what that says about me! 😂 Bravo on this evocative, thought-provoking, and skilful poem. I expect and hope for this to be Top Story 💕😊

Well said, I guess it's fair to get a dose of this with morning coffee! So true.

That was quite the way to start the morning. Of all that you mentioned that breaks my heart, it’s the unceasing stories of family killing family that shocks me most. And it is increasing, or at least the coverage is. Parents killing children then themselves/ spouses/each other
