「Reality Marble」

Not as it seemed

By Cas_CadePublished 5 years ago • 1 min read
Marble on the Floor

I have a superpower.

The power to manipulate space and time

And the reality that we lived in.

One second can last a millennium

And a millennium can past in a second.

I could easily use it to rule the world,

The universe and this reality,

But that is not my

Fate.

One of my favorite hobbies

Is to create a personal space.

A pocket dimension that I am allowed,

Bigger on the inside,

A fluid-filled space,

But no one else can enter.

All that matters is that

I am here.

With me, myself, and I.

Yet something nags at the back of my mind.

An incongruity as big as time.

Even though it’s crystal clear.

The light forever shone in one direction?

This world is transparent but

The bubbles sublimed to the surface?

They are bubbles in nature

Yet they never ever popped?

Something is missing, something is lost.

Perhaps this world isn't what I intended for?

Stepping out of my marble,

Into the darkness

That is my reality.

There is no one in the abyss,

No Fate, No Hope, No Despair, Nothing.

Sometimes I see a glint in the dark

A Stardust Handshake away.

I can grasp it in my hand,

But never grasp it in my hand.

Where does the glint come from?

A hope? A dagger? A silver bell?

Or a shiny new pocket watch?

One of the things I will never know.

That is why

I prefer my marble,

A sea compared to the abyss.
