Do you see what I did there?

I captured your attention,

Climbed the oak like a bear,

It worked like a magical invention.

You expect to find something interesting,

It is imagination I am testing,

Precious time I am investing,

Your attention I am arresting.

Want to find out my darkest secrets?

A cave of wilderness I will give you,

To the flow of time I will remain true.

Want to know my flaws?

May I ask, “What are yours?”

Want me to spin you some adventurous tale?

To do that I will not fail:

There were a group of human beings called Curious.

They were frustrated at being called the same name.

Some were quite serious.

Who could they blame?

Some had voices that were infectious.

“How am I meant to stand out?” They shouted.

Others were relieved to blend in.

It was a case that needed mending.

So Mother Nature waved her wand.

To create with her chosen ones a bond.

And the ones who were happy to blend in were given different names.

They all screamed, “Why me? What for?”

But it was just Sods Law.
