Razor Sadness

Poem

She spoke like the darkness was a part of her

The apathetic girl with the razor

Razor sadness destroyed her flesh for years

Years felt like an endless loop of tears

The days swallowed her as the ocean swallows our fears

Fearful of the immensity of the world

A world without her felt serene

As serenity was being alone

Lonely in thoughts possessing our mind

Suicide lay outside the door

Dormant fizzling anger

Angry at the lies she must tell to keep her secrets locked away

Insomniatic from nightmares crumbling her sanity

Decaying beauty wrapped in a façade

Death traced her footsteps in the shadows

Dissociated from reality

Thieves in the night steal her last smile

She lies paralyzed by the darkness

Judging eyes ponder her lack of essence

No sense of purpose
