Raven’s Ghost

Former passenger of a magnificent means of travel

I am forgotten like a daydream when jostled

back to the here and now

My pilot long gone on to new horizons

Silken black and weightless, shivering in a morning breeze

Wishing to soar above the clouds

Push the limits of speed

Glide on the wind that cradled me

Lying abandon on cold hard concrete

Left behind discarded like a candy wrapper

no longer useful

Silken black and weightless trembling in a midnight gust

Bouncing lightly along like dust bunnies being swept away

I am a generic version of my former self
