Rambling On

A Poem

By Rutes MPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

Can't stop from rambling on.

Can't change my love for you.

I've been imprisoned in the stone that you are now.

Mere words that only dignify the stone that it's on,

mere memories that just drift on.

Why do you submit yourself to this stone?

Why don't you come home?

I brought flowers once again to whisper the soft scent of love.

The roses cut you with their thorns and now you are gone.

Your chair is still empty, but your stone is warm.

Our bed is empty, but the grass is cold.

I'll just stay since you left.

But I'm still rambling on.
