Rainy Morning Haze

A true feeling

By Gabriel B. ShamesPublished 6 months ago 1 min read
🌧️☔️💧

The sky is full of clouds, like my mind. The ground is slippery, like my thoughts.

The rythem of the rain takes me away to somewhere else grey.

The little circular ripples take me away to somewhere else monotonous.

What is that flat, astringent odor? It reminds me of the damp moss of the forest… but unlike I’ve smelled before.

The barren trees stick out stark branches against the monochrome.

Can you feel lonely just because of the weather?

Is lonely a bad thing? I normally think it is… but looking into the still and infinite haze, I have the desire to float away and dissolve.

When Spring’s wind sends dandelion spores drifting through the sun-baked afternoon… perhaps I will drift back too.
