A Poem on Overcoming Disappointment

Life's challenges are like a water cycle with rain as their constant outcome. We spend most of life seeking shelter from these since they come at an unstoppable rate.

Sheltering from them is, apparently, a lost cause.

We can't stop the rain from pouring, but we can create shelter when we admit it frustrates us. Although the shelter that we build may not be as sturdy as we might like, we can adjust our expectations and use them in different ways. And we may as well learn from its takeaway lessons since we are so frustrated.

Enjoy these Haikus.

Dark passing rain cloud

Droplets pelting on the soul

Wet it as tears drop

Dark cloud that passes

Rickety shelter covers

And steady but sure

Its raindrops that wet

Soaking us through to the skin

Leaving clear patterns.

❤️❤️Beautiful haikus. I live in rain country and many times the sky is gray. Then we get days of heat and sun, blazing blue skies when the gentle rains begin at night. I wake up sigh. Relief!! I feel a poem coming on.

    beautiful Haikus ❤

  • Yes, we can't stop the rain but we can create shelters. Loved your set of Haikus!

  • Life means a series oof challenges and there are more challenges than sheltered times, aka simple good times. But it really depends on how you look at it. Anyway, challenges is what help us grow, so we should either embrace or swipe to the next one.
