Rainbows

Rain and Sunshine

By Deborah WalkerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I am grief brought to light

Illuminating

A vast spectrum of perspective

Otherwise lost.

I see red

The tender… the innocent

And those conquered

By the power

Of their passions, unchecked.

I see orange

Ambitious, exploitive oppressors

Lacking introspection

Oblivious to their own motivations.

I see yellow

The joyous, the naïve…

Spreading happiness and hope

Like honeybees upon daisies.

I see green

The greedy… the manipulative

Perhaps void of a soul, but not concerned with it

No empathy beyond agenda.

I see blue

The downtrodden… crippled and sick…

Bound in poverty and circumstances

Hopeless and seeking a savior…

I see indigo

The addicted and afflicted

Chained by lies… flawed beliefs… and condemnation

Desperate for freedom.

I see violet

The selfless… enlightened…

Offering unconditional love

Light, and truth to a bleeding world…

I am a gift of grief brought to light

Raindrops in the sunshine

Illuminating ...
