Rain Clouds

A Poem on Disappointment

I woke up this morning to a constant pelt of rain that indicated my dogs couldn't go downstairs for their morning walk. The dogs, of course, were none too happy.

Nor was I. A planned trip to Mount Faber and a cable car ride were cancelled. Of course, disappointment arose.

Feelings of disappointment will resonate in our lives constantly. It does us good to acknowledge them, accept the situation and focus on what we can control (for example, I decided to write a nice poem instead). And of course, we must care for ourselves too.

Enjoy these haikus.

Very dark rain clouds

Gathering, mean, in the sky

Rain pelts on the soul

Very dark rain clouds,

Gathering, doleful, dauntless,

Raindrops clear and strong

Very dark rain clouds

Cannot stop mighty showers

But use umbrella

Very dark rain clouds

Avoid by taking shelter

And not getting wet.
