Rain and 91% Humidity

People are feeling hot and sick?

I was at a memorial yesterday and one person was in bed sick

he didn't like the heat and humidity. But that couldn't be his stick

he was from Louisianna. It is hot and humid there right?

He was in bed the whole time I was there, no sight

of him, except for a quick ask for a fan

My sister-in-law was fighting the same sickness

what can it be, others were talking allergies. There was a quickness

to get through my time there as I don't need to get sick

This morning I awoke to rain. Maybe just in the nick

of time. Does rain wash away the humidity? No

not a bit. It only feels better because it is cooler, so

what does drop the humidity? The right wind?

Me, I like the rain, as we still need more of that kind

to help fires and to keep the water flow alive.

Our Mississippi is flowing, better today

than it has been, and rain is so important I say

Let's go out and enjoy this day

And if you get a chance pray

for water today!
