Radiance

Who you are

Radiant is what they call you

Shimmering and bright

Effervescent, cheerful,

Perpetually light.

But I know the truth

That you wallow in pain

Self-pity

Self-doubt.

That you lash out

When you can hold your facade no longer.

I know you are hurting

And secretly want out.

Out of the spotlight.

Out of this world.

I attempted to help you

But I wasn't enough.

I could not give you what you needed.

So go on,

Shine

Be bright

Be effervescent

Be light.

Just remember...

Radiance can cause burn.
