Racism reality
Their freedom, their rights, their souls
Racism is a reality we face
In this world, a dark and shameful place
Divided by skin color, we are told
Like print determines our worth
From the moment we are born
Society tells us what to wear
Lighter skin, more beautiful
But this belief is not wrong
We are taught to hate and fear
People who don't look like us, oh dear
But why do we let this define us?
The way we treat each other is a crime
History shows us pain and suffering
Of those treated as borrowed
Their freedom, their rights, their souls
Even if taken away, their story is not told
But, today
Racism continues on its way
Injustice and prejudice still exist
It leaves irrevocable scars
We cannot deny the truth
That racism is a poisonous, merciless beast
It divides us and breeds hatred
But it is not too late to change our destiny
Let's break the chains of this reality
And embrace one another with love and unity
Because we are all human, regardless of race
Together we can create a better place
So let's unite hand in hand
Erase the lines that divide this land
Let's fight this ugly truth
Spread love and acceptance to our youth
Racism may be the reality we face
But it is up to us to make this world a better place
Let's break the cycle and break free
And embrace each other's diversity.
