racing mind

thoughts at night

By Kristina BrulePublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Here I lay staring up at the ever-glowing moon

Tears staining my red cheeks

Not a second of silence in an overcrowded mind

Thought after thought

Reminding me of all my failures and what-ifs.

Is heaven real?

Silence is all I beg for, just one moment

Please shut up

I just want to sleep

I want to think my own thoughts

I’m aware of all my past wrongs and future possible fuck ups.

Chitter chater all night long

Am I in the wrong?

To scream and cry for help is to be weak.

But to suffer is also weak

Ugh, shut my mind up.
