Rabbits and Fire

In a field of green and lush,

Darting rabbits, so quick and hush.

Their cute little noses twitch and go,

As they nibble on grass so slow.

But danger looms in the air,

As the sun starts to fiercely glare.

A raging fire begins to spread,

The rabbits feel a sense of dread.

Their burrows are consumed by flames,

The rabbits dart like crazed game.

Their little hearts beat with great fear,

As the fire gets ever so near.

But they don't give up without a fight,

Hopping and leaping with all their might.

Through the flames they nimbly bound,

Until safety in new homes they've found.

The rabbits may have lost their place,

But their strength and courage they did embrace.

And in a world so full of fire,

The rabbits' spirit continues to inspire.
