Quiescent

Quite a haunting silence beneath the

purple shadows of the darkening sky.

In its utter solitude, just look upon this

latent night! Oh, how perfection

slips gracefully into the vocabulary

as black begins to morph through deep violet

and makes the sky appear painted above

on nothing more than canvas.
