Questions

The Light Darkness Within

By Jon SwiftPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

A person sat alone, on a bench, under a blue kissed sky with the sun beaming on a warm afternoon, sees a small bird land on tree branch.

Our figure sits watching the world around them as a gentle breeze passes through and hears the leaves sway up in the trees, the bird takes flight with a massive leap, diving and looping up in the air.

The person sits and thinks about a how a wonderful world that is inhabited by the smartest and dumbest human beings alive, and how they can make it better and nurture its power and resources but to be able to also destroy and waste its beauty?

The figure found themselves with a question that was both being able to have the vision of the world as a beautiful place but also a dying planet. How could a human being think of a question that could give an answer of discussion and opinion, which could divide people but maybe bring them closer together?

The person rises, puts both hands inside their jacket pockets, starting to walk along the path and buries these questions deep down and thinks what if.
