Putting On A Show

August 1, 2013

Terrorize the day,

And terrorize the night,

Never let it go,

Without a fight

Bring it to the table

Whenever you are able

Not to lesson strife,

Merely part of life

The attitude towards

Is the point of view throughout

With the question remaining

Who are you to be?

Not too much to

Let it go and flee

From captivity

From this cage

You’re at the age

Of responsibility

The age of believing

In something new

You’ve reached the point

Where you should rethink

And always blink

Never stare

For focus can be grand

And focus can be good

But focus can be gone

Like a bit of hocus pocus

Look too long

And you will see

The wires, the smoke,

So clear in the air

Not a negative

Just a truth

Life has mystery still

As does theater

surreal poetry
