Putting Back the Pieces

A burden thatis too much

My World Has Fallen Apart

My world has fallen apart,

bricks crumbling beneath my feet,

memories drifting like smoke

against a moon too bright to hold.

I sit on the edge of what once was,

dangling between what’s left

and what’s lost,

the silence louder than any scream.

Night paints its sorrow in ink,

clouds weeping in quiet trails,

and the wind hums a song

only the broken can hear.

If I let go, will the stars catch me?

Or will I fall into the hollow space

where my heart used to be?
