Purpose

Ask the Earth

By Vicious AvaricePublished 10 months ago 1 min read

The earth has no choice but to follow

The path that god hath laid

Rotate slowly, carry life

The reason it was made

I asked it once, what it thought

About the fate at hand

It echoed back, “and what of you?

Tiny little man?”

I sighed and sat

Thought awhile

And when it came

Couldn’t help but smile

“It doesn’t matter

What I think

We’re here regardless

And like a blink

All that’s left

Is to finish what we started”
