or who we might become if we were allowed to be real

Purple

What are you?

What will you become?

A dance across galaxies, timelines, hues meeting the edge of perception in unspoken perfection

Purple

Who are you?

A collision of crimson and ocean

Blood and sky

The royal flush of my skin turned velvet and sage

Blood and mind

Purple, my mother wrapped me in blankets of your knowing

Knowing I was both king and queen

Yet unsure of how the world would see me

Let me be your medal of honour

The one given to those of us

Brave enough to go

Where no one we recognize

Has been allowed to go before

Purple, it was your courage

To be blended, multiplicitous

To bear more than one crown

To wear on your sleeve

Truths as of yet unspoken

Your boldness to become

What needed to be seen in order to be real

At a time when to be real

Was to know one bled purple too

Without a cure in sight

To remedy an endless sky of fading lights

Amen

About the Creator

Ella Olga

Just trying to figure out this whole being a human thing. I don't know any better way than by sorting it out with words on a page.
