Purple and Green Collide

by Taylor Greye

By Taylor GreyePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Purple and green collide in silver skies

And do more than distract from the static.

Star light sprinkled into the northern light

To guide me in magnolia magic.

Blue rose stained red and green in my bouquet,

The stems cut off and stucked in my garden.

Grown in a winter bloom, color the grey

With its roots spread through and out of my head.

Fit together the shards of my old heart,

Like puzzles pieces and glued with honey.

Bubble wrapped safe from shimmy shooting stars

As the purple and green envelop me.

And now within this newly repaired vase,

Plant a new rose to bloom for all my days.
