Purity In A Time Of Corruption
Poetry: Shielding the sacredness of your soul.
Have we forfeited our purity in these times of corruption?
The decoy principles of profit driven by polarized politics
And sacrifice of self in order to uphold the greater good
Inveigle spirits with tainted views; washed in blush glaze,
No longer can civilization ascertain its higher purposes...
Retrograde thoughts revolve around satisfying one's ego;
Propelled toward epicurean indulgence, need neglected
For soul and service, our divine callings writhe in expiry
How easily minds can be manipulated: humanity's bonds
Tangled and spasmodic, forgotten in our constant pursuit
Of fragile opulence to create illusory self-aggrandizement;
Who do we become behind riven mirrors and dry smoke?
Disparate beings yearning for connection: eluded too long
By separation superimposed on the ever communal heart,
We want desperately to mesh with those who understand
But hold ourselves from exposing tender vulnerabilities
When we remember the divinity that lay within all of us
And honor our similitudes despite societal machinations,
Only then can those false constraints slip away like rain
To evaporate at our feet; let us not be swept into mirages,
Willing subjects to covert, subliminal transmogrification;
Instead, may we awaken to the truth of cosmic kinship:
It is within the labyrinth of another soul that we connect
To spirit's essence, radiating ascension's most pure light.
