Pop rock party

On sizzling tongue

-

Prominent flavours

Flicker mind lights

-

Like the bass freefalling on

The flickering dance floor

-

Rave away at the

Popping and pumping

-

Coursing through veins filled with

Pop rock vibes

-

Vibing away on the Milky Way road

Till vision becomes glow in the dark stars

-

Space is infinitely indefinite

While flavours vibrate

-

The hum of prickling tastebuds

The sensation of flying electric

-

Letting go and

Stretching across the strum of the bass

-

Across the universe elastic

Endless sounds resonating across endless nerves

-

The mind electrified by the flickered popping

Of space rocks sizzling inside my own glow in the dark universe

~

This poem was born out of a dope writing prompt that I did with the great J Delaney-Howe. The prompt asked us to write about how our favorite colour tastes… so, can you taste it yet?

Feel free to heart, tip, subscribe, and smile if you’re in the mood, any interaction is always appreciated!
