My veil is pinned, the music swells
I stand in sparkling white

the path where anger dwells
You won't give up that fight

The aisle is long, the pity starts
The crowd begins to peer

ache squeezes my heart
I know you won't be here

The war we've fought, the burning bridge
The heart you chose to break

lines upon the ridge
You drew for ego's sake

My hand is

Trembling. Blind.
To find your steady sleeve
I grasp the empty air behind
The place you chose to leave

My footsteps now begin to fall

The loudest sound is nothing at all
Just silence by my side
