Primal Imperative

We're always chasing the unattainable.

It's Interesting

The perpetual mortalness

outlasting the biological imperative within

fleshly machines mutate to deathly musical means

to malign the end dictated by mortality and mitigate menacing materiality

Mounds of memories stored as machine code

Mimicking. Ever so slightly morphed

with memories stored in reams of data, are we still the same?

Who knows.

Author's note: I was bored and honestly the current vocal challenges aren't interesting, so I asked Gemini to give me an interesting topic for a poem and constraints to follow. it gave me 3 rules to follow, based on some of my previous poems I showed it (had to follow 2 structural rules, and have 1 line that ignores them both). I'm going to try and ignore why this AI suggested this specific topic for the poem...

a clue to one of the rules is in the name.
