Few can remember the grayscale of the closet,

and the little white line that let in dancing men

draped in rainbow cloaks.

My love

at it's simplest

is a bloody iris.

The Perfect Mirror

I’m searching through a pile of broken glass for a mirror.

one that shows the

perfect

Shaped in the likeness of a s-c-a-r

by the fumbling of restless hands.

A shard that expresses detail/lacks disdain.

I’d love a jagged mirror.

One that pretends I love my features

when I hate half my headshot.

I am

a ball of cookie dough.

Why the fuck

should you care

about who made me,

or how I was rolled?

I taste great

either way.
